What to try
- Raise turnover. Push volume up and watch the turnover component stop responding above 0.3 % of market cap. It is capped for almost every realistic input — the clearest demonstration of the limitation described on the methodology page.
- Cross an altRank boundary. Change altRank from 25 to 26 and the total drops three points. Change it from 26 to 49 and nothing moves. Step functions behave this way by construction.
- Move social dominance alone. Both buzz and discovery respond, because the same ratio feeds both — up to 24 of the 100 points react to one input.
- Compare the two presets. "Large cap" leads on every raw number and scores about eleven points lower.
What this tool is not
It computes a documented formula on values you type in. It does not fetch live data, does not identify assets, and produces nothing that constitutes advice or a recommendation. For scores computed on the live universe, use the application.
